iPad output to TV...How's it working at Hotels for You?

Today I purchased a universal remote control in a bid to overcome my problem at the Warwick Hilton in the UK. The rooms have Phillip's TV's with no obvious means of changing the source. The supplied remote has no option and there are no buttons, that i can find, on the TV.

How is everyone else doing with iPad to TV in hotels?

I seem to be doing ok now. I am managing to find some form of input/menu button on the side or bottom of the TVs and it's working fine in most hotels.

Agree normally an input button on the side.

Also come across a few wall embedded TVs where the TV is sunken into a cavity blocking access to the HDMI ports.
This is often overcome by having an AV input board somewhere in the room, but I often find a large amount of interference from these ports

(eg at the Doubletree KL, the HDMI signal to the lounge TV had lots of coloured line interference, and the input board wasn't even connected to the bedroom TV)
