Just wondering if they waive the call centre fee for this since you are unable to make the booking online? I dunno if my Gold status would increase the chance of them waiving it either....

There are mixed reports. Ask and you might get lucky.

When I rang last year I was told the fee is waived as it cannot be done online, and I've got no status.

They've waved it for me without even asking, and that was just when asking for a quote, so she didn't even know about my status.

I booked an international RTW ticket via the call centre that couldn't be booked online and they waived the booking fee for me. YMMV though.

Mixed report, they've not waived the phone assistance fee for a booking change that couldn't be done online for me at platinum. But I think you have a good chance of success.

People never thing of it anymore but...

Try a travel agent? I know several (and indeed there are several here) that would be able to help without the 'assisted booking fee' issue.

If you need a good TA hit me up and i'll gladly pass the details along of mine. Else just try your luck with any of them (I don't use Flight Centre or the like though, I have a small one that always does right by me).
