I'm sure this has probably been discussed before but I thought I'd raise the question as it applies to present fare structures.

I'm looking at booking a business class return ticket with Singapore Airlines from Sydney to Singapore. Looking at the price quoted on the web site does anyone know if I'm likely to get a cheaper fare with a TA?

I know that these days the airlines have been slashing their TA commission rates so I don't know how the fares would compare.

It depends what you've got and where you got it from.

Some agents have wholesale or corporate fares, but its hard to get access to them by just walking off the street.

A recent example... I was booking SYD-SFO-SYD on NZ. Air NZ website came up as $1885. I went to Flight Centre, only flight they could find was QF @ $2400. Another TA, yep they had NZ, but wanted $2200 for the same flights....
