So I just had a phone call from velocity through might make a few people happier.
The background is that I had two Business reward seats booked to London in Feb next year (with SQ) but due to COVID had to postpone the trip to March. I had asked to change the flights but it was after they enter vol admin and they couldn’t do anything at the time but cancel the flight.
They called me today and said that they could now rebook international rewards booking/or change dates free of charge as long as it was the same route. So I’ve been able to move my partner airline rewards seats to the new date.
She offered to refund the cancelled flight free of charge as well
I also asked about booking New international rewards flights and she said that it should be available from the 25th of October. I.e the ability to Search and book will resume on that date. Why then? Not sure.
Anyway this helped relieve a bit of my stress about my rewards point limbo. Hope it helps others too.
