International Multi-city Booking

I was talking to an Austrian couple the other day who fly to Australia several times a year. They said that they haven't bothered with Qantas (they usually fly emirates) because the website wouldn't let them book a simple multi-city itinerary... It's really ridiculous that Qantas can't get this to work. The emirates website, in comparison, works a treat even with complicated multi-city bookings.
