Interlining with AF-SQ

Hi all,

I've booked a QFF rewards (hallelujah!!!) in AF J CDG - SIN that arrives in SIN at 16:55. There's a flight to PER on SQ that leaves at 18:55 that I plan to book in Y using Krisflyer miles (in case things don't go to plan and I need to cancel). Separate PNRs with 2 hours connection. Tight.

What makes it more so is my baggage situation. AF J cabin allowance is generous at 18kg so I could take all my luggage in the cabin, but then would this mean when I get to SIN I would have to go landside again and check in my bas onto my connecting SQ flight (7kg Y allowance)?

So first question. Assuming a scenario where I'm having to check in luggage and my arriving flight is on time is 2 hours doable in Changi?

Alternative option - interlining.
SQ are awesome here and according to MileLion it would not be an issue with them, even on separate PNRs.

... BUT there's nothing concrete I can really find on Air France online. And as they are the ones who would be checking in my bag to my end destination they are the ones that really matter! Of the few titbits of info on this topic out there the theme seems to be: possibly, but don't bank on it. So very ambiguous. Does traveling in J increase the likelihood they'll be helpful?

One post on Flyertalk from 2012 from Goldorak suggests AF will do it without issue.

I'd be grateful if anyone has first hand experience and can offer some advice.
