Inn at Creek Street Ketchikan Alaska

Just completed a fantastic stay here while we wait for connection on Alaska Highway ferry system. We booked using a 2 for 1 voucher from our Alaska Discount voucher book. We were in the 2 bedroom apartment as distinct from the hotel rooms. Located in Creek St which has been seen on TV in Aust for the salmon fighting their way upstream at spawning time. Excellent setup with 2 bedrooms, fine bathroom, washer & drier, kitchen and large lounge room & oversized plasma. As advised we caught water taxi from the island airstrip & met cruiseboat pilot who was arriving back for the cruise season. Can recommend the Sourdough Bar which is within easy stroll/stumble. Not a lot to recommend in the food dept, maybe too early in the season. Elk burger was excellent however. Hosts also provided free drop at ferry terminal after looking after our bags all day after we booked out in the morning prior to late afternoon departure.
Up to 4 cruise boats in each day into Ketichikan and local paper lists ferry arrivals & departure times and number of passengers. Some cruise ship have 2600 mad shoppers let loose for a few hours.
