Thanks to the oh so thoughtful gent behind me in 5C yesterday on QF488, I thought as a service to all travellers, that boarding announcements could do with a friendly reminder to sneeze and cough into elbows/tissues/hankies.

Yes, announcement overload has been discussed here before, but such a reminder during cold and flu season would benefit us all, particularly even the productivity/financial cost to the airlines themselves due to FA sick leave. And I for one, who lives between two cities and flies twice weekly, am sick of ignorant sods making no effort to preserving the good health of those around them.

Something about how keeping the children onboard is optional, and that if they wish, passengers in possession of them can take them to the aerobridge & leave them there just prior to departure?
