Booked business tickets both ways, and both times credited the incorrect amount of 60 SC, instead of 80. Call centre tried to convince me that 60 was standard, even while reading the t&c's aloud, for bookings before Aug-18. These tickets were this year.

Suggest checking your own flights to NZ as I suspect their rate cards loaded in the back end are incorrect.

Doesn't VA have 2 sets of J subclasses (as in fare class) on short international routes?
One is ((business saver)), the other is ((business)).
Go to the pull down menu, booked before 01Aug18, travel after 28Oct18.

Earlier on 751 - 1700 was in one band, but it looks like after the Air NZ split up/divorce, the upper limit was changed, 751 - 1500...
1501 went to the next band.
This of course is just my presupposition, I don't work for VA, but this looks like the most likely scenario.

Hi Everyone,

thanks for your replies, I've got no idea if it was a business saver or business. However it was booked this year, so at a minimum it should be 80, and they credited 60.

First time I sent a message online and was credited an extra 20. Last night I called velocity, the guy kept reading off the wrong table. I kept correcting him to the right table, eventually he 'gave in', the credit came straight through. 10 minutes later I get a call to say that the credit wouldn't come through until 3rd of September.

Virgin and velocity have been treating me terribly over this trip, rerouting me to arrive at midnight in auckland, with a connection at 5am (when will I sleep, I'm in J for a reason). Seems like the wheels are falling off. Time to go back to Qantas.

@Fifi I suspect they anteed up in the end, not because they thought you were wrong but because you were right but not prepared to directly admit a mistake.
