[Incorrect] 18 Jun VA236 flew QF747 metal ADL-MEL

A work colleague this morning relayed a very odd experience he had yesterday. He flew to Adelaide for the weekend, and on the way back flew a Qantas 747 as a VA flight.
-In flight entertainment screens were turned off but they had virgin wifi in flight entertainment.
- The captain explained that it was on loan from Qantas for that flight.
-Cabin crew was VA.
-As VA wouldn't have any pilots rated on 747's I assume the flight crew was borrowed also.

Has anyone else ever experienced this? In all my years I've never heard of this happening.

Not that i am trying to doubt you(or maybe i am) , but this sounds very odd, also flight aware and fr24 show va236 for 18 jun as a 737.. Vh-vol no less

Any pictures of "this" ?

Wouldn't the cabin crew have to be 747 rated as well? Maybe QF staff in VA uniforms?

so had a look on flight aware, and at flights either side, all appears normal.
I went back to my colleague and asked some further questions, including: how many drinks did you have at the airport?
It would seem that his recall is less than perfect due to his "relaxation" at the bar...

edit for clarity: he imagined the whole thing because he was blind drunk

QF B747s don't have wifi let alone VA streaming.

Well if a LTG can't tell whether they're on an A330 or B747 ... then I can believe this story
