I'm sure the answer to this is staring me in the face, but I can't see it. I did have more than a "boy's look"!

When I log onto AFF I go straight to "New Posts" and can often times be met with 8+ pages of new posts as it might have been a while since I last logged on. I then have to wade through all these pages to see if any new threads that have been started are of interest to me. No offence meant but a thread started on (say) Virgin Baggage back in October last year that has an updated post is of no interest to me at all.

What I would like to be able to do is log on and see only NEW THREADS that have been started since my last log-on. Then I can quickly decide if any are of interest and subscribe to them to follow them.

Is there a "filter" that I can set up that will allow me to do this?

I trust I have explained myself clearly. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Good Q. Have you checked in your settings and preferences ? I think there are a few options within. I will take a look later tonight.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements

I don't think it is possible to filter new threads only.

New Posts shows any threads that have new posts that have not been viewed since last log on.

I generally look at threads I have posted in first then look at threads with low post count that I have not posted. Occasionally I go to forums such as Qantas and Virgin and skim through what has been posted and if interested view thread and then mark forum read. Reduces New Posts filter for a day or so.

Perhaps this thread can be moved to Suggestions and Feedback forum.

I also have been struggling with this - I actually now just follow AFF on Twitter and then select AFF and you can see all the threads (I'm assuming all new threads go onto twitter but maybe not)

I don't know where people get the time to go back over New Posts which may go back a long way. I only ever go to Today's Posts. If the thread has been dormant for more than a day, I will catch up with it when there's new content posted.

It may not be what you are after, but it suits me the way it is.

That's how I do it as well. Means I know what is current and if there is a topic I want to review I go to the thread category and look through it to see what I've missed.

"New posts" only shows threads which have been posted to in the last 10 days that your account has not accessed since the last post to that thread.

The AFF site has become rather busy in recent times and maybe you might like to start subscribing to specific fora and using the "control panel".
