Comments:
The hotel is sitting right next to the more superior Mantra Hotel, which also belongs to Accorhotels. The reception and lobby area is relatively small, making it hard for guest to pass through when it gets busy. First impression was this actually feels like a budget hotel (and in fact it is). Check-in was quick and staff were courteous. However, I was given a room key that doesn't work so I had to return to the lobby and ask for another one. Because this is a budget hotel, so I wasn't expecting a clean and neat room. To my surprise, the room was nice and bright, and its sparkling clean.
The room was small but its cozy. There's a workstation next to the bed and on the table was a mini bar, which consists of: a water boiler, tea bags, instant coffee and packs of sugar. The bathroom was nothing more than basic, with only 2 packs of soap and a few towels provided, nothing more. There was no hairdryer in the room so I had to ask the lady in the reception to give me one.
Breakfast buffet is available upon paying $12 at the front desk or during your reservation. Food there were basic: pancakes, juice, milk, toast, ham and cheese. But surprisingly there was a barista coffee, which doesn't taste that nice, but still its better than having none at all.
Ibis Budget is a budget hotel so do bear in mind that it is 'nothing more than the basics'.
To sum up:
Room amenities:
Internet (slow)
Towel
Soap
Hairdryer (upon request)
Minibar
Landline Phone
Value: Average
Recommended: Yes, if you're really on a budget
