The negotiator comes to the rescue again :)

Sure enough i managed great rooms in hotels like the Hyatt for $75 USD :) when the cheapest rates that hotel had available through other means was $209 USD.

No if only i could negotiate a better FD on a great itinery i may do later in the year... hmmm.

Indeed the negotiator is a very handy tool to have, if you aren't chasing hotel points.
Have to love name your own price

I assume this is the Priceline Negotiator?
Either that or it's the new Arnold Schwarzeneggar movie!

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Also have a look at the forums on biddingfortravel.com. There are lots of reviews and hints about how to bid plus real examples of what price people have got the rooms (or flights etc) for. Bear in mind that taxes and Priceline fees are additional.

When you are asked to register you may have to add another number to the zip code - it used to ask for your US address so I got round this by putting in my AU address and just adding a zero to our postcode. (Dont know if this is still the case)

We have got some great deals in the US staying in Hyatts and Sheratons.

Using Negotiator, just notched up from 4 star expectation to 5 star and saved E100 per night for 3 nights in Amsterdam.

I think next time I would just do a price search for 1 night and then use the 'Add extra nights' provided I was happy with the hotel choice.
