HX services on VA today out of OOL

I just returned home from Surfers Paradise today ( out of BNE on QF in the end) and was wondering why VA HXd all their services out of OOL, yet JQ and TT didn't? Does it have anything to do with the absence of an ILS at the airport or do VA have extra stringent guidelines that they adhere to when dealing with adverse weather? What a crazy weekend of weather - the rain was coming in though the windows of the QT Gold Coast :shock:!

PS: loved the QF service from ground staff to cabin crew - I haven't flown them in 10 years.

I guess I started off being curious on why Virgin was not flying and Qantas, Tiger and Jetstar were and then concerned when things started getting worse.

All in the fun of the weekly commute.
