Hi Guys, first post so go easy on me! Want help please or advise if I can sell my cancelled tickets credit. Booked flights thru Webjet, flying with Virgin. I was unable to fly, so had to cancel. Webjet have issued me with a credit to be used up within 12 months. I wont be able to fly, so wanting to sell this credit, obviously for a lessor amount. How can i do this? Or is it not possible? Any help or guidance would be appreciated....Cheers Kev.

My understanding is that if you made a booking with a Travel agent, such as Webjet you may need to make the re-booking through the travel agent.

Airlines don't tend to deal with the consumer direct in terms of travel credits as odd and frustrating as it seems, travel agents...
The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

If it's Virgin's Travel Bank credit, you should have your own login to the Travel Bank account so that you can then use it to book and pay for flights even in another name...

If it's a VA Travel Bank credit you just have to book within 12 months, not fly. You can wait 11 months and then make a booking if you want. The expiry date is show when you log into your Travel Bank.

(If you think about it the travel agent gets commission which pays their staff. If you get a refund they don't get the commission, and then you rebook with the airline direct which means they have provided a service and it has cost them money.)
