Call me dumb, call me slow. But I cannot for the life of me figure out this SIMPLER, fairer system

Say I book 3K HKG-SIN under a starter plus bundle, how many SCs and FF points will I earn? Which class of "mid-range" international should I look at (if at all)? Unfortunately the calculator does not work for me at all...

Frequent Flyer - Program - New Qantas and Jetstar Earning Table

This is how I read it. Jetstar plus bundles falls under the “Economy” fare type. Since SE Asia to NE Asia is not in the table then you have to rely on the mileage table. At 1587 miles, SIN-HKG falls under the second “midrange” bracket which means you earn 1650 points and 25 SCs. All very simple really :).

How did you conclude that it should be under the second mid-range table though?

For some reason, Qantas define two mid-range regions. The first is from 751-1500 Miles, and the second from 1501-2,000 miles. It would have been much easier if they had given them different names.

Can't post the link but here is the mileage table.

I wonder what happens if you fall into the black hole with a flight between 6001 and 6500 miles??
