How many bags is your life?

Maybe! I have a wardrobe full of stuff that despite me saying to just throw it out (I haven't missed it for 25 years, can't imagine I need it), I have to go through it all sometime. I think it will be me just throwing it all out!

(When I moved to Melbourne, all the stuff I took filled a container. Mind you, most of it could just be ditched and bought again, and indeed some has been replaced in the last few years...)

Whenever I think of mens clothes in the 80's I think of Robbie's (played by Adam Sandler) brother-in-law in the Wedding Singer movie. If you lack imagination here just think about mens velour tracksuits.

Did you have any shiny faux leather looking jackets a la Michael Jackson adorned with zippers and a solo glove?

No idea how many bags I would need but I currently have 2 rooms (one in Sydney and one in Brisbane) full of junk that I refuse to throw away.

Seriously though why wouldn't leave a lot of the stuff with mum and dad and only take what is absolutely necessary to get you started somewhere new.

Yesterday, my cat decided to assist me with minimalising some stuff.

I was downstairs and heard an almighty crash. At first, I thought the Feds were breaching the front door.

Ends up the cat jumped up onto this wooden pedestal and took down the large vase sitting atop it.

So I'm one bag lighter now. My wife said "oh well at least it's one less thing to move".

Stupid cat...

Now that I have made the big trek west I now have a good handle on how much stuff I have.

3 suitcases, 1 box and 2 back packs flew with me on Saturday.

This box is on its way to Perth

This is the furniture to be sent once I find a place , fridge, chest of draws, bed side table, sofa bed, bed and a few chairs under the blue cover.

anat0l: You have a free call option on a large, secure[-ish], monitored storage facility right where you currently live... They are called parents and will "mind" your stuff forever*.

And I am using this storage facility for a table, more chairs, 2 book cases a 2nd bed, a study table, another 2 boxes of junk, another suitcase of clothes and finally the grand father clock.

So yes I probably have too much stuff but doesn't everyone.

Welcome to Perth Bundy Bear.
I head east tomorrow morning so can you handle everything in Perth?

Why not make it two bags less and leave the cat???

I had to laugh at your comment as I saw the heading from the local paper.
