I have a J award DL flight booked HND-HNL next March (got it on the last day of being a VA partner).
I then need to book HNL-LIH to get to my destination, likely on HA.
I've only flown into HNL once before in 2014 and never had to connect to another flight. I can't recall how long it took to get through US customs at HNL.
Would the experienced travelers here have a 3-hour (or more) layover before booking a connecting flight that is not on the original itinerary, or is 2 hours enough?
