Greetings. I know this is my first post here. I usually frequent Flyertalk, but this forum looks more active for QF issues.

I am AA ExPLT, traveling on a paid J ticket this Saturday LAX-SYD. I have a gracious friend that has put in for an upgrade to F using their QF points. He is a bronze member. I have no experience requesting upgrades on QF. Expertflyer is showing 6 blocked seats in F, and J looks pretty full. Any comment on likelihood of scoring the upgrade?

I've flown J many times on the A380 to SYD, but would love to experience F for once.

Thanks

Even if someone were to tell you your odds are good, there's no guarantee you will be successful. Best to assume you'll be travelling in the cabin you have paid for, and if you win the lottery it will be a nice surprise :)

At least five seats on sale, so you have a chance, even at the back of the queue.
