How do passengers check into a flight with bags and then don’t board. Two no shows who had to have their bags removed were the reason for late departure.
Must be some good stories.

Never missed a flight after checking in, though came close once.Lots of reasons and hope none ever apply to me.
Not feeling well, fall asleep, too much alcohol, second thoughts, carried away shopping or something else and lose track of time....
That's close. Really close.Never missed a flight after checking in, though came close once.
US west coast connecting via IAH to ORD with an overnight at IAH - stayed air side overnight. Last AA flight in, one of the first out.
Found a nice place to sleep as suggested by sleepinginairports.net. Set my alarm.
A few hours later, wake up to find alarm didn't go off (seems my phone's alarm won't activate when headphones are plugged in) and aircraft door closing in 5 minutes. In my rush to get everything packed up, shoved into bags and rush to the flight, I didn't notice my noise cancelling headphones fall out of my bag until after pushback. Had to buy a new pair in ORD before my next long haul a few days later.
I don't get the overpriced ones that come "recommended". I get the $80-140 pairs and they last 3-4 years each. I'm on my 4th now. The ones I lost would likely have been replaced for the next long trip anyway. That's close. Really close.
I hope the NC headphones didn't have much sentimental value etc, as it'd be a hard loss to get over!
Don't ask me how but I managed to walk out of the MIA Admirals Club lounge into the international sterile area and could see the gate and hear my name paged but couldn't go anywhere.Never missed a flight after checking in, though came close once.
