Have you stayed in a mid-range affordable hotel in Singapore and been delighted of it (good value for money)?

If I can get away with <$150 (SGD) per night, that would be awesome. Up to $200 goes, too. Ideally, located in Little India or near Bugis Junction, but I can travel. All I need is a clean, quiet and comfy bed and a bit of space to spread out for a few nights. Preferably within max 10-15 min walk from an MRT station.

My old habit would have led me to Holiday Inn Express Little India, in this case, but I'm keen to find good alternatives.

My brother has booked the lyf Farrer Park for a reasonable cost, It gets reasonable reviews. But they are just using it as overflow as no way we can accommodate his whole family in our apartment.

There’s a bunch of Ibis Budgets sprung up in SIN (A$100 to $150 pn) but are probably pokey. The Ibis Bencoolen is functional (pretty typical Ibis room). I’ve stayed there before and booked again unless I find a better deal. There’s a new Mercure Bugis just opened.

There’s an Accor Private Sale on at the moment.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

We recently stayed at the Village Hotel Bugis (Far Eastern Hospitality) in a deluxe king-these have been upgraded. Thought we got tremendous value. Only around a simple 5 minute walk to Bugis MRT. Found that Amex travel had excellent deals then & for our return in a few days. I can supply a email & name for contact at the hotel via private message if you like

I'm currently staying at Hotel Mi, next to Bencoolen MRT and a short walk from several of the other hotels mentioned. At just under $200/night I think it's reasonable value (by Singapore standards). The room is fine, bed is comfortable, wifi works well and the location is good. There is a gym and pool. The only issue is that the soundproofing is not great and I can hear all the noise coming from the corridor. You can also hear alarms going off in neighbouring rooms. This is easily fixed by wearing earplugs.

I've previously stayed at Ibis Bencoolen and didn't think it was that flash - the internet connection there was also glacially slow.

@Mattg Didn‘t you stay recently at the new Mercure? Or maybe it was someone else.

Thanks Matt. I had been looking at the Ibis but Hotel Mi looks better. Available next year for $171 pay later through Agoda (click from TripAdvisor). Happy with this.
