The key is "up to 25K miles" .....

Converting a 120K UA package can only get you 145K UA miles, so it is 20.8% bonus only.

with UA you get 10% bonus so its 132k instead of 120k, so like kamchatsky said it is just under 20% bonus.

Still better than nothing

Yep, still better than nothing. Happy that it now gets me the little bit extra to get one-way to Europe in J, and one-way to North Asia in J with the devaluation taking place shortly without having to inefficiently use up more SPG/Marriott points.

How long do UA miles last before expiring?

Anyone else have a go at this? I redeemed two (one for me, one for Mrs) and our miles from Marriott flights and nights package came through as a 132k transfer - not as 120k + 12k bonus. Reports around say I should end up with 157k once the 25k bonus hits.. so should be a good investment of SPG points.

Can confirm that the 25k bonus have hit each of our accounts. So in total 157k united miles in total for 180k Amex Gateway points

180k Amex -> 90k SPG -> 270k Marriott = 157k United + 7 Night Hotel Package.
