This is an SPG luxury collection hotel but the only SPG option in Helsinki. When originally booked it was about $500 a night but 6 weeks out it became available on a Z3R rate so ended up paying $240 a night. Not surprisingly on that rate no upgrade though received a bottle of a reasonable Italian red as an SPG plat.Even though an ordinary room it was spacious.

The staff were very good.Internet free as an SPG plat.No morning newspaper. No lounge. There is a restaurant and cafe but quite expensive.
The position is great-central,right near the old markets, transport at door, plenty of restaurants nearby and mrsdrron loved the Marrimekko store next door.
Certainly if you can get it at this rate it is very good value for Helsinki.
