Hotel and Car Hire Status Options when reaching Platinum

Hi All,

Apologies if this has been asked before, but I've tried searching everywhere. Are you given the option to reselect the partner status option when moving from Gold to Platinum with Velocity?

E.G. If you selected Hilton Gold when you reach Gold, can you change this to the IHG option when you hit platinum? Or if you select Hertz, are you then able to switch to Europcar when you hit platinum?

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that you do get to apply for a completely new partner hotel/hire car status when changing Velocity status tiers. So, I don't see any reason you couldn't switch when reaching Platinum. Just make sure you change the program preference in your profile before the new status match is granted.

When I reached Gold I choose IHG and then 2 months later when I hit Platinum I choose IHG again. I then status matched to HH Diamond and now have the best of them both.

When you login to your account, you will be given the options again similar to when you reach Gold
