Hi all

I am going to use some semi dormant Marriott points to reduce the cost of a business trip to Hong Kong and have enough for one night in a Marriott (this will enable me to spend 3 nights in the Conrad - one way to convert Marriott points to HHonors points in a way ;))

My options are:

JW Marriott - 30K
Renaissance harbour View - 25K
Courtyard - 20K

I have 48K Marriott points so in theory could spend Sat and Sun at the Courtyard.

I have no Marriott status and will be trying to check in fairly early in the day (around 11:30AM).

Any suggestions or comments on the hotel options?

Cheers

The JW Marriott is going to win hands down against the Renaissance Harbour View and the Courtyard.

Since you'll be staying at the Conrad HK - there's no way you would, could, or should downgrade to a Renaissance or a Courtyard ;)

Last time I stayed at the Renaissance and the rates were like $130AUD pn with harbour view but the JW was like $450AUD pn :!:

Use that 5K extra for the JW.

Thanks for that. I have stayed at the JW before but was not sure about the marginal difference.

Cheers

I have just stayed at the Renaissance harbour Viewin sept in one of their renovated floors and it is very plush.
