I am trying to find a hotel in HK for families. I need one room for 2 adults and 2 children, one room for 2 adults and one child and finally one room for 2 adults.
This is for all the family going to Disney Land and Schenzen shopping so somewhere close to train and possibly in Kowloon.
I found the Novotel in Nathan Rd might be able to fill the requirement, anyone confirm this or suggest some other.
Thanks

The Salisbury YMCA may suit but you need to book early:

YMCA of Hong Kong

otherwise using the ICHG family and friends you can get rooms at the Holiday Inn Express with two doubles and a sofa (using Easter as the dates ) http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/ex/1/en/hotel/hkgcw?rpb=rate&ias=y :

+1 on the Salisbury YMCA. Great location, right near Star Ferry terminal and TST MTR station.

Will be there in 3 weeks so can post some photos later if that would benefit you.

I think, I should recommend you this Royal Park Hotel because I have been staying at this hotel for a couple years now. Me and my husband together with my two children travel to Hong Kong and China. We always stay at the Royal Park. The rates are very affordable. The staff is friendly and professional. The rooms are consistently clean and very comfortable.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I want to thank all for your imput.
I was in HK a few months ago and stayed at Marco Polo. I noticed the YMCA Sailisbury and you have confirmed what I thought. Have sent them an email and received a very prompt reply. No rates available in Sept. but will make a reservation.
This trip Mrs Max and I want to take our daughters and their families to HK so the young kids can go to DisneyLand and then the ladies go to Schehnzen for shopping.

My husband and I and our adult daughter recently spent four days at the Royal Plaza Hotel, our fourth stay. We arranged to have adjoining rooms with a connecting door on a non-smoking floor. We had rather more luggage than usual but the rooms were large and well set out. One room had a king sized bed with a sitting area, the other had a queen and a double bed. Both rooms had a kitchenette but no cooking utensils.
The hotel as well as being located next to a large shopping centre is also above the Mongkok East railway station on the KCR line to Lo Wu (Luo Hu) in Shenzhen. One can also change lines at Kowloon Tong to the Kwun Tong line or from the new East Tsim Sha Tsui station one can walk to Tsim Sha Tsui on the Tsuen Wan line and continue to Hong Kong Island.
We had stayed at a number of Hong Kong hotels previously but now do not hesitate to book at the Royal Plaza for our next visit.
I have found the best prices available through hotelbook.com.
This hotel consistently rates well on tripadvisor.

Will you stay at the Disney resort at all? I only ask as we're spending our last 3 nights there 22-25 March and will take photos there as well if it would be of any use.

Hi 11sjw,

Thanks for the offer for photos but the wonders of internet have exposed us and the kids to whats in store for them. Hope you enjoy.

When we were there last September. we stayed at MarcoPolo. Here we met some Aussies that had 3 children and they went to Disneyland by train and back for 2 days. They felt this was enough time as it is not a large disneyland.

My thoughts are to stay in a Kowloon and from here we can go to Disneyland,Ocean park,Shenzhen.
All together ,our family is a total of 6 adults and 3 children aged 7,7 and 4. so hopefully we will find suitable accomodation at value pricing.
YMCA and Royal Plaza Hotels both recommended by posters so will check them both out well.

Max,

Agree with everything you've written. We're at the Salisbury Y for a week prior to heading out to the Disney Resort for a few days.

We were in HK last July so one or two things we did then we won't do again. The reason for the few days at the resort is to enable our daughter to enjoy the theme park in smaller chunks. She got a bit overwhelmed and irritable last time. Mind you it was 32 and about 95% humidity so Dad was getting grumpy as well! :D

Great point you make.
Time for a family meeting.........lol.........Democratic by the way.

Let me make this clear......I AM THE BOSS OF THE FAMILY and I do whatever my wife and 2 daughters decide.
