Hitting WP this weekend....sharing my excitement :)

Hi all - somewhat a pointless post other than to share my excitement with people who appreciate and understand

After tracking my SCs for months and months, throwing in a status run or two, I will this weekend hit WP for the first time. Haven't had the luxury of a double SC offer and majority of my flying has been domestic Y with the odd Int Y and a couple of JASAs - has been a long year!

The timing is perfect...I fly out of Syd Sunday night on my first flight as a WP, in J and will be my 100th flight for the year.

I'm pretty stoked to have made it. I remind most of my family and friends that I eat more meals with QF than I do with them and the inside of a plane/airport is more familiar than their lounge rooms

I'm happy to say that after gaining WP for the first time last year I'll retain it next Tue afternoon, 4 months into my year. Now to see if I can hit the 50k bonus points....

Congratulations earned my WP status in much the same way (minus the status runs) and have now retained it for a few years.

Haha yup! I'd be surprised if I retain it - still have until the end of Apr until my review so unfortunately I'll have a whack of SCs going toward attaining P1...which I'll never reach. My travel should (thankfully) reduce next year but I'll be sure to make the most of it while I have it

Now to plan a trip purely based on getting into the F lounge

It's a pretty good feeling hitting the mark and that feeling of achievement is quite nice regardless of how long it lasts

Some like to go above and beyond what they're contractually obligated to do.
