Now half way through my award stay here in venice. This is why you want to get to diamond status with Hilton.I booked this 6 night award 11 months ago.then Executive floor rooms were E750 per night.11 months out now they are E640 per night. That is over $A1000.Arrived ~1pm.Escorted to the executive lounge for check in.Had to wait for about 30 min. for room on exec floor facing canal.Exec.lounge is very good.Free wine, spirits and beer 24/7.Fantastic breakfast-a bowl of fresh raspberries and blueberries every morning.Nice selection of sandwhiches at lunch.Wonderful pastries and cakes from 3pm.Hot nibblies from 6pm.
Only problem with room was first morning after having a soak in the tub was coming back into room to see 2000 people on the Brilliance of the Seas taking photos of our room.Every day we have had fresh fruit delivered to our room. The figs are fantastic.
We were told the Hilton was in the wrong position however I feel it is perfect.A shuttle takes you across the canal and on to St.Marks square.Runs every 30 min from just before 7am until 2 am.Besides one of Venices signature restaurants-Harry's dolci is just 100 metres away.
So get to diamond.Save up your points and enjoy.
Mods-if you wish to consolidate all Hilton reviews go ahead.
