I'm planning on using my shiny new HHonours Gold in a couple of weeks in London. I would like to stay in the Hilton Kensington because of its location near Notting Hill, but the reviews for Tower Bridge are a million times better.

I used to live right near Tower Bridge and would prefer to stay on the side I didn't visit so much, but I'll also have a friend staying with me so will book a twin.

Anybody got experience with these two and ideas either way? Is one hotel's twin rooms much better than the other (those beds look awfully snugly close in the pix:shock: ). Please don't suggest the other Hiltons (Park Lane, Waldorf etc) because I'm a destitute writer/student and can't afford them.

Is one or other a better bet for the upgrade to executive suite and is one exec lounge much better than the other?

TIA x

We did stay at the Hilton Canary Wharf but unless you get a super special a destitute student would not pick it. It has a high satisfaction in reviews and their lounge upgrade for 9 pounds saved us about 50 to 100 pounds a day.

I stayed at Hilton Kensington in 2007 and enjoyed the stay. The area around the hotel is quite nice.
