Hi everyone;

What general area / country are you from?
My name is Luke Gracias and I am from the Gold Coast. I am an environmental specialist and author.

Do you get to travel much ?(if yes is it for work or leisure,)
I travel about twice a year to Europe and once or twice a year to India. I also travel domestically mainly to Central Queensland, Melbourne and Sydney. I travel for work and try and fit in some leisure travel around it.
I am an avid photographer and spend a lot of time taking photographs of the amazing places I visit when time permits.

Do you have / have you had any airline or hotel status?
I use the Deutsche Bahn as I love train travel and usually travel through Europe via Germany. Perhaps one of the few Aussies who holds a Bahn Card. Also a fan of Singapore Airlines and hold a Krisflyer Gold.
Use Qantas hotels to book most national and international hotels.

Is there anything specific that lead you to find AFF? (A problem with an airline - or maybe looking for info about frequent flyer points etc
Point Hacks and business class deals. I would love to travel business on the long sectors and hoping to find some point hacks or deals to be do it more often. Also looking for some tips on good photography and historical destinations as I am researching locations for a historical fiction novel.

Cheers

Luke

Welcome aboard. Always nice to have another Gold Coaster here.

Welcome Luke.

Although ‘old’ to AFF I’m new to the Gold Coast (& loving it!!!)

Welcome aboard Luke - I think you'll find a lot to like about AFF with your wide range of interests. I think some of the posts here could almost be a plot line for a novel, the way they swing backwards and forwards around the original question - more Kafka than Joyce though
