Came across this forum on one of the other FF fora, so thought I'd join as it's a bit nearer home. Actually I rarely fly to Australia, except on vacation. I'm much more frequently spotted on SQ 286/5 AKL-SIN-AKL (like this evening - heading home). Anyway good to be here and I look forward to reading/learning/chipping in when I can.

We're pretty cosmopolitan here. It the Kiwi bashing gets too much, you can always start bagging PNG. Everyone else does.

You might also be interested to know (I suspect its in the papers there already) that in the 2010 UN Human Development Report NZ ranked No 3 of 169, beaten only by [You don't go there]

Thanks to all for the friendly welcome. Nice to be balancing up the West Island and OW biases!

Serfty - will be losing the NZ GE in March as I'm 900 points short of qualifying! Used to do weekly AKL-WLG-AKL hops but that's finished now. Will get to SFO and back in March though. Have been SQ Solitaire for nearly ten years thanks to my employer.
