I'm a subscriber to Netflix too but this free 6 month promotion provides access to a wider variety of content. Presto does provide HD content even on their cheapest package.

In my opinion Presto is the worst of the 3 major streaming services (Netflix, Stan, Presto).

However, free is free. If I end up booking a flight I'll try it out

I got an email from Virgin yesterday with the promo code. Have just signed up for 6 months of free Presto. Seems to be working well so far.

I did have to provide my credit card details - hopefully I'll remember to cancel before the 6 months are up...

I too got the code after my recent flight. I had a browse of the presto library yesterday and decided it wasn't worth the effort in activating at the moment.
The code is valid for redemption until June 30, So i've made a calendar reminder for June 29 and I might activate it then.

Given that Presto is 50% owned by Newscorp (the exact same company that has railed against the NBN so vociferously in its newspapers and with its rent a commentators on TV and Radio) the fact that community internet speed is too slow for people to take up their streaming service, is an irony that would be funny if it wasn't so sad.
