Hey guys,

just arrived in Australia (less than a month ago) and will be here for at least 4 years.

Very used to redeem points on Aadvantage and Iberia Plus/Executive Club, but a total newbie regarding QF. Hope to learn a lot here and contribute to other members whenever I can.

So, a bit about myself: Brazilian biologist now based in SYD for a four years project investigating coral growth and how to speed up this process.
Usually, I fly long-haul in Business or First but always go for Economy when flying short distances.

Best Business class seat I've been: Q-suite
Best First class seat I've been: Lufthansa, but have a very promising F ticket for CDG - AUH - SYD at the end of the year. Really excited for this one.

Back home, WhatsApp groups are really popular amongst frequent flyers. Is this a thing here "down under" as well?

Bem vindo! And do fly up to Queensland and visit the Great Barrier Reef...

Welcome to AFF and I use WhatsApp a lot for communicating with friends overseas but don't know of any travel groups

Welcome to AFF.

I don't know anyone that uses WhatsApp
I use WhatsAp and find it a great way of communicating.
A motorcycle riding group I'm a member of use it. It's how we keep in touch without starting a FB group.
