Hi
Longtime follower and haven't really contributed so far - I hope I can help someone someday
I have a question that I hope someone can help with.
I've managed to snag 4 business class tickets.from.sydney to. Rome with Singapore Airlines for my elderly parents and my wife and myself - using virigin points {about 600,000 from memory}
Were in out 60s and parent in 90s so I think business class was essential for.them
Our dilemea is that we arrive in Rome at 8:30 am and our Airbnb in Rome is available from. 3pm.
I would have readily paid the extra day to arrive early but it wasn't available, and concequently the bnb is not available till 3pm
Can anyone suggest what to. Do with two 90 year olds that have travelled for 2 day (22 hour layover in Singapore}
Is there any singapore airlines lounge available for arrival or a pay lounge at Rome FUM
Or any other suggestions other that sit on the bnb doorstep for 6 hours
Thanks for listening (reading)
Spike

Belated welcome @Sapike.

Thinking outside the box, what about heading to a nice cafe and having a leisurely morning tea that stretches into lunch? I once spent 5-6 hours in a cafe in Milan as I got in very early for my train connection. As long as there is a trickle of purchases you can generally stay as long as you like.

Of course I appreciate that you and your folks may be pretty zonked so that may not be an option.

book a cheapish hotel the night before?
or contact the Abnb to see if you can check in a bit earlier?

Lots of cheap hotels ($70-90) just a short taxi ride away from the airport if you feel you would need some rest. Always nice to have a shower and freshen up and if you and your parents are up to it there are plenty of cafes to relax in
