I'm currently in eastern Iceland...... And having barely washed the ash off me I logged into my email for the first time in a week only to find my krisflyer redemption with thai airways was changed so my original OSL-BGK-SYD in a week and a bit now includes a 13hr layover in BGK due to understandably reduced scheduling instead of the original 2 hours. I am therefore booking an SAS OSL-LHR to meet the QF at 1205 from LHR to SYD so I can still get to work on time and see all my clients. Before I book these those I was wondering if an interline agreement existed with sas and qantas on this route. I would do BA instead but it is untimely and too expensive. Thankyou in advance!

I don't think they have an interline agreement. But both flights should be from Terminal 3.

I should mention the reason I ask is because I have a short transfer at lhr and want to ensure I can check baggage thru

As SAS are a Qantas partner I would expect there to be an interline agreement

I'm talking back in 1990s but SAS and Qantas certainly interlined the baggage for me from a MEL-HKG-BKK (QF) to a BKK-CPH-OSL (SK).

I can confirm that SAS & QF do have interline agreement. I was able to check my bag from ADL through to GOT last year (via MEL and LHR).

Thanks for the help. Makes my decision easy. Now back to volcano watching, then off to eurovision

I have checked luggage SAS Arlanda/FRA then onto MEL on QF

No problems at all :)
