or is it still way too early in the scheme of things with the EK tie-up..???

I really can't imagine that long term the prices when booking via Qantas can remain so ridiculously uncompetitive compared with flying the exact same flights booked with Emirates . . . or am I just looking in the wrong place..??? we're looking at multi-city PER-IST then AMS-DXB-PER (or could be MUC-DXB-PER) and the price difference is currently almost $5K pp. Or am I going about this in totally the wrong way..???

Are we going to have to wait until April..??? or is it unlikely to ever come near parity..???

Were plenty of good fares in the 96-hr sale last week.
Just wait a few weeks...

for someone who has been keeping an eagle eye on fares in this area, they were non-existent . . . . . but will be patient for a while longer before giving Q the flick

I think the OP is not so much referring to the price of the flights as such, but the difference between QF & EK for the same flights.

E.g.

PER-DBX-DUB return,

Same flights, all on emirates,

EK $7270
QF $11,450
