Hi, I flew Paris - Syd in December and then Syd - Paris last week and have yet to receive points/ status credits. I have submitted a retro claim but not received a response does any one know how long it ususally takes?

I flew on Etihad metal (on a V Australia booking) in November and December last year. On both occasions they posted within a few days. Not sure if this helps or not.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

It can take up to a month really so I would not be too concerned just yet. When you submitted the retro claim what did it say? Did it say Your Velocity Membership Number is attached to the booking and points will be credited to you shortly" or something similar?

FWIW all my EY flights credited within 48 hours, it was some of my VA flights that proved difficult.

Thanks, my flight was an Etihad booking with a combination of Virgin & Etihad metal. Had problems when trying to select seats as Ethad dont allow Virgin access to the booking so think points will also be an issue.

Sit back, relax, enjoy the film and worry about the points in 3 weeks (unless you need them now for a booking)

Just keep the boarding passes.

@ ROK - it has been over a month for the outbound leg. The reply to the retor claim was -
Thank you for submitting your claim for Velocity Points. For claims with our partners, please allow between 4 to 12 weeks for the Points to show on your account. Claims for the Virgin Blue Group will be credited within 7 days.

Flew pure Etihad a few times. Points posted 2-3 days.

However, had a complaint about poor business class product - broken tray table and all but one menu choice unavailable.
Twelve weeks to respond!

Outcome 20,000 points creditied to account

I know this has been covered before but 12 weeks to receive sc/points from one of their partner airlines is pathetically slow. I know our VA reps have replied in the past that it surrounds IT comparability issues but really in this day and she it should take less than one week, and if the IT don't "talk" properly to each other unfortunately some time and money needs to be spent fixing it.

Perhaps thats part of the reason why they have announced that they are moving their entire reservation/ back end system to a new platform?

I have a quick question ...

I flew from CDG - AUH on EY, then 3 days later flew AUH - SYD on VA. It was booked as a return flight with a stopover.

Now the CDG - AUH sector still hasn't credited, but the AUH - SYD sector credited in one day. The CDG sector should have pushed me into gold, instead I was pushed into gold by the AUH - SYD sector.

I also had 2 domestic sectors on the same day as AUH - SYD, so all up I earned 140 SC's that day and conveniently doesn't count to me qualifying gold ...

So when/if these EY points come, should my review date change, and the later SC's be used for requalification?

Well the points/SC for my return flight have been credited - MEL-AUH & AUH-CDG, but they have missed off the SYD-MEL flight which was VA??? still nothing for the outbound flight taken in December!

I called up after not seening any points or credits in my account after a SYD-LHR flight on Etihad in mid November. Apparently they have received my retro claim, and have sent it off to Etihad for verification. Etihad then have to verify (possibly a manual process since it takes so long) and get back to Velocity. Then they'll credit you. I'd wait and see till about the 8-10 week mark after you put the claim in (remembering that you're supposed to wait 3 weeks after you fly to lodge the claim).

So far all the points for the legs with etihad have been credited, oddly the missing legs are now the 2 I took with VA???

I made a retro claim on December 3rd for points for a return Brussels>Sydney and am still waiting for the VA points. Flew Brussels>Sydney again over the Christmas period (returned on Feb 01) and still have received no points. I called Etihad call centre and they said the details are passed directly to Virgin. Called Virgin and they said I would have to do a retro claim as it was not a Virgin flight. The whole thing is a bit of a joke. I have to fly to Brussels>Sydney again in March and will probably avoid Etihad/Virgin as I actually receive points flying Qantas/BA.

11 weeks and many phone calls later the final missing miles and SC were applied yesterday! It appears they were in the system but had not been applied to mu account?
