Hi there,

with USDM no longer a reliable option, are there any other programs that offer good value for flights between Australia and Guam? Ideally having them in the same (cheap) zone? Unfortunately revenue tickets seem to be pretty expensive, even the hop CNS-GUM is $1000+ in Y :(

Thanks for any insights!

Hi WLGFlyer and welcome to the forum!
USDM can still be considered as an option for flights to Guam. You can check the USDM successful bookings thread and see that someone already made a 30k booking to Guam using OW airlines. At the moment, the only option is to fly on JAL from NRT.
It seems to be harder now to get a stopover on this route but it's only based on 1 booking so you can try calling US yourself and see what happens.

Flights ex GUM on AV LM eg to USA are still quite economical due to GUM be classed as domestic USA where as on US DM it was zoned SW Pacific.

You can always take advantage of a JQ Sale & book a cheap ticket ex Aust to NRT or KIX then do a VA Velocity award ticket on DL ex Japan to GUM which is 'N' class if checking availability on Expert Flyer or KVS and approx. 16,900 points plus taxes pp.

There are plenty of ways to come back from the US to Aust via SWP eg ex HNL on FJ using QF freq flyer points or HA using VA ff points.

Thanks, the LM zoning is exactly the reason I was asking. I assume with the number of Programs out there there must be others that zone in "good" ways when traveling between Australia and the South Pacific but I havent had a chance to look into it further. Thanks for all the replies!
