Anyone know whether they check ID when doing a group check-in for a QF domestic flight? We have a few misspelt names that we just realised, but it's already passed the 24hour name change deadline.

How many are in the group?

I don't think they'll fuss too much if the names are misspelled slightly as it's not like you're substituting one entire name for another.

Is the entire group going to be arriving at the airport at the same time or will they get there in dribs and drabs?

Don't use the kiosks if you have sent a group movement advice to QF as they will have already checked you in and printed the bag tags so it will only get messy if people try to print out more bag tags at the kiosks.

If you're not sure just ask a CSA before you proceed.

Hey Oz,

Thanks for the reply. We just checked in at the group checkin area in Sydney. The group arrived at the same time on two buses. The ladies (and gentleman) at the QF group check-in area were so lovely. As the group lead, they just gave me the 80 bps and I was able to distribute them myself. The only proviso was that there's no extra bps left over and everyone gets a bp, which was achieved quite easily.

:)
