I have just had a great experience with QFF by phone sorting out a problem that was too hard for Cathay and my travel agent,
My 15yo son is flying solo from Adelaide to New Brunswick, Canada for a school exchange later this month. Finding flights with reasonable connections was a nightmare! It was eventually worked and involves 4 sectors on a combination of CX, QF and Air Canada. Last week one sector was rescheduled by 12 hours so threw the whole timing out. CX (who it was ticketed under ) was able (via travel agent) to change the homeward journey to a day later to get better connections. The final sector was a QF Sydney- ADL sector - because my son had put in ( and had confirmed Points upgrade) on this sector both CX and Travel agent said they couldn't change this flight. ....... So I ring Qantas - who say why didn't Cathay or your TA change it for you ... I say coz it was too hard for them and because my son had meddled with the booking by requesting an upgrade. Anyway after hearing this the lovely gentleman just sorted it all out for me and even managed to keep my son in Business Class for this little flight even though there was no U availability.
........ If only Qantas flew out of Adelaide internationally I would happily use them more.
