I have to host an important dinner shortly for a small team, staying at IC. Been sometime since i have lived in the emerald city. Emphasis on both theme/location and product.

Any ideas guys?

Thanks,

SPRUCE :p

Aria

Quay

Guillaume at Bennelong

All within a stroll of the IC Hotel, all pretty good.

Guillaume has great "wow" factor, being inside one of the sails of the Opera House.

You could also try Rockpool, or Rockpool Bar and Grill.

I'm not sure where the IC is, but Cafe Sydney is always a favourite (Circular Quay). Great location, great views and the food is fabulous. I have yet to find a restaurant that ticks all those boxes.

As a thought. Try the other side of the harbour so you look back at the city etc. Try a ferry or Water Taxi (some carry groups) to Milsons Point a small experiance for those that do not live in Syd and either Aqua Dining, Ripples Dining or Sails on Laverder Bay.
All are happy to spend your budget:mrgreen:

The Royal Automobile Club has small private function rooms with great views - if a member of an associated travelling organisation sure they would swing something - the Heritage Room comfortably seats 14 and includes waiter service, etc.

An idea of budget would be good. ;)

I'll second NYCguy's suggestions (except Aria - but that's moreso due to a personal run-in with Matt Moran out one night, rather than the food). Rockpool Bar & Grill is great for a team dinner - not too intimate that you can't have a decent conversation, and with an excellent menu (particularly if you like steak).

Bilsons is close by, though for the money I'd suggest the other 3 hatters.

If it's a younger team or you like your restaurants a little trendier - try "Sake Bar and Restaurant" in Argyle St (Rocks). It's the Argyle's old function centre. Great menu and very funky interior.

Cheers,
- Febs.

To throw more to the mix, I would recommend Forty One Restaurant. It's very nearby the IC at the Chifley Tower, and offer great food + stunning views. :D

I would certainly recommend Aria, great food/wine and the best view in Sydney. If seafood was an option try Doyles at the Quay, seafood platters are great and view is good.

I would second cafe Sydney and Aria. I will never eat in a Perry restaurant again and we were quite disappointed with Bennelong. Forty One is also very very good.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

For a pretty swanky view and excellent Japanese have a look at Ocean Room at the Overseas Passenger Terminal Circular Quay West www oceanroomsydney dot com The place has an amazing ambiance and recently had an impressive refurb

All very good ideas, thankyou very much for taking the time.

ended up at Aria - lived up to reputation. A good night had by all.

IC also was reliable as ever. It just gets on doing its job.

cheers
