My first bold steps into the playground :)

I was wondering how many of our "regular" posters here have paid up memberships? I for one have. I like to support sites of value, and I hate ads :)

I do. Its a small fee to also put something back into the community.
And i hate popups and ads. !

Same here.

I have found this to be a valuable site so am happy to make a contribution towards the continued operation of this forum due to the advice I have gained from it.

As Evan noted, the lack of pop-ups is a plus. When browsing AFF on another PC without logging it, the pop-ups do become a bit of a pain.

I don't have any issue with any ads as I have the adblocker add-on to Mozilla Firefox which solves that problem.

I have a USB drive with FF stored, software and profile.

Plug it into a QP PC, fire up a batch file which copies it across to a temp file on the hard drive and off I go on FF with all my addons, shortcuts, cookies etc.

(Only issue is I need to clean this copied stuff up and power the PC down to remove the USD, I'm blocked from "ejecting" it - I do have a cleanup batch file)

I'll have a look at that and see how it goes.

FWIW, normal FireFox can be easily setup to run from the USB as well.

However it's too slow when running from the USB; taking a painful 2 or 3 minutes to fire up and shut down.

Much faster to copy to the Hard Drive and run from there.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements

You wouldn't know how to get the RDP client (Terminal Services) to run on the poxy QP computers would you?

When you see how easy it is to run Firefox on the QP computers, you have to wonder what else is running in the background...
