Only 66% ? I guess that shows how the US kept on truck'n.

Global air passenger traffic plunged by 66 percent in 2020 owing to travel restrictions imposed during the pandemic, The International Air Transport Association (IATA) said.

The organisation also warned that new, more transmissible variants could damage and delay prospects of a recovery this year.

As travel restrictions have been mainly applied to international travel, domestic passenger traffic fared better, falling by 49 percent compared with 76 percent for foreign passenger traffic.

Travel restrictions imposed during the first wave of the pandemic caused global passenger traffic to reach just five percent of its normal level, with airlines parking planes on runways because no other space was available.

Full story probably paywalled, but try googling the headline:

What's the reporting period? All of 2020? Lots of flying taking place Jan-Mar! (IATA also used full year numbers to base it's covid 'safety' analysis.)
