My membership period is September to September. In last years period I gifted gold to my Wife. I have just maintained Platinum again. My wife will not make her requirements to stay Gold, can I give again given it is my next Plat period?

Yes, you can just call up and gift it to her again.

Does it not depend on how many points credits you have though above usual.platinum requirement to maintain before you can gift gold? I'm sure actually under the more recent "enhancements" they even increased that amount required.
