Hi Avid,

Thanks for your query,

The AMEX Lounge passes can only be used by you as they are connected to your velocity account, if you're travelling with your family member you can use the passes to guest them into the lounge, or just use your Gold membership guest entitlement.

Thanks,
Velocity Frequent Flyer

Thanks VFF,
No, I'm not flying that day,
I guess son can buy a lounge pass.
Thanks for your reply.

But surely if Velocity can link FF accounts for the purpose of Family Pooling, then they can link accounts for the sharing of lounge passes?

If not, why not introduce a system where the account holder sends an email requesting the pass be transferred to a family member.

Or, even better, how about a system where the pass can be e-transferred/printed/downloaded to whomever the account holder wishes?

Nothing grinds the gears of an AFF member more than an unused/expired lounge pass.

Should be like the qantas complimentary passes.

I'm in the same boat for a party of 4 in January. I'll be WP and have a couple of Amex passes but not sure how I will go taking in 3 on the day.

Fingers crossed for an understanding CSD member.

I'm a good mum, I paid for a lounge pass for him, does seem strange that I will have AMEX lounge passes that will expire. And yes we do have family pooling between us.

Platinum members can have up to 3 guests in the lounge.

Should have mentioned the SIN bit. Were all good for OZ but hoping to get in at SIN, HKG and SGN.

I totally agree,
they are useless for plat and golds who join the CC system and get 2 UG. totally useless.

I wonder what percentage of their card holders are gold and plats. I guess they might be useful if you invited everyone standing in the security line to come into the lounge with you.
