Well after mapping out my year in SCs to keep Gold by August a family member has gifted me a gold membership after earning themselves 2400 SCs this year. I guess that allows me to focus on keeping my Virgin Gold Velocity membership up now!

How funny is that:rolleyes:

Having accrued 2400 SCs in under a year I think 50,000 FF points would have been negligible!

Not really - depends what kind of flying they do.

I just went through the 2,400 SC mark in my QF year (only just, my anniversary is the end of this month :)). Most of my flights are short hop domestic flex Y tickets, which earn 20 SCs and 1,000pts each, so for those 2,400 SCs I only earn 120,000 pts.

I took the 50,000 pts :D

I think there are many that have no need or desire for points......
