Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I'll have to workout what the real discount is since the money will be paid, but I won't get the benefit for so many weeks.

In more normal time there would be some validity to that argument. However with interest rates at historic lows the point is at best academic.

i just buy with 5% discount from cashrewards for wish cards. gets treated as supermarket spend so 3 points via amex edge.

usually get the egift card within a few hours of buying.

add into the woolworth money app for easy tracking.

I know that you can buy some gift cards at Coles with a Coles gc as long as you have the full amount and use an attended check out.

Does anyone know if this works with Flight Centre gift cards?

Yes I must admit the whole experience with Woolies seems easier than the Coles cards. Shame my preferred local supermarket is the Coles one therefore.

here is my experience,
egc with full balance works self and manned, obviously the staff has to approve both, so if the manned staff says no, then go to diff store/register/come back

Ive never tried it with flight centre, but I cant see why it would be any different

I read somewhere with self checkout, even if you dont have enough, the machine says you dont have enough but then proceeds to ask for another card and just deducts the shortage, but have yet to try it

as for manned, can definitely split, but once again, depends on the staff, i had one who insisted it didnt work, and I asked nicely for her to try and it worked,

Works fine. Use the method I have described in the Coles gift card thread to ensure success. Do not use a staffed checkout.

Thanks. I have spent about 20 minutes trying to find the post that you are referring to. I think that you should be able to find it more easily. Could you provide a link or just summarise what you have found?

Edit: Eventually I found this post. Is this the one you meant from 3 years ago?
