Not sure why the surprise at Bunnings gift cards at Coles, given both are owned by the same company !

Yeah. Surprised that I couldn't find them anywhere. I tried eastern and southern suburbs Coles and no luck.

Exactly! The one that surprised me was Myer at WW.

Pro tip: Take photos of all the gift cards as you can do this quickly.

Was not to long ago a purchase of a Myer card got you a EDR 20C fuel voucher!

Updated the spreadsheet with another bunch from this afternoon's scouting. There is an astounding variety of choice. You really can do all your shopping at supermarkets!

Just out of curious, no one here have employee benefits where you can get gift cards at a discount? I get all my gift cards via employee discounts, between 5% - 10% off, worth a lot more than the points I get from AmEx.

There is a Macquarie Visa Platinum Card as well

Is it worth adding a column on the spreadsheets outlining points earn?

Do you mean the different rates for different cards that transfer to various airlines?
If so, then that would probably requiring it's own thread & spreadsheet :D

I've bought Dan Murphy's and Bunnings cards at Woolies and Coles respectively. Might go for the combined
Woolies Group card next time rather than DM's as I'm now left with $6 in the DM's card that I can't use till the next grog cupboard refill (and knowing me I'd probably lose it before then). Bunnings will return any remaining amount under $10 in cash.

I've also seen David Jones gift cards at one of the supermarkets, may be useful for getting new Calibre tops assuming the DJ's in Brisbane have Calibre. Prefer getting fragrances, cosmetics and bath products at a much cheaper price from Strawberrynet.

Today I got a Westfield XS for use at our green grocer, butcher and to purchase coffee as none of these places accepted AX. The green grocer was a little skeptical when I presented the card but shrugged and put the card through when I explained it's like any EFTPOS transaction.
