Well i think i have the record for explaining the issue in the topic thread:D

The problem
Fying in first DFW -LAX , credited 20 sc for discount economy not teh 120 it should be.
Not really a big deal if i still could find the boarding pass (its the only one from the trip i can't find in a book or similar!)

Is there any way of getting the SC credited if i don't have my boarding pass still?

For keen readers who will remember my desire to make partner gold for a family RTW , this will now pull me up about 100 SC short in the plan if i can't get them back
If on the other hand they are gone , i can fly direct to Colombo using the SQ a380 on teh way and not have to take a 600 SC detour through Asia on One World as it won't matter

If you have no boarding pass then you can try asking if they can check it out without the BP. If they say no, then you are out of luck really What type of ticket were you travelling on?

Do you still have your ticket / eticket itinerary? If it has the exact class (J, I etc) listed for each of the flights that might help if you send it to them with a covering explanation.

It would be A class.

Occasionally, these post to QFF as discount economy due to A class also being an "upgrade" class on AA.

No BP? I suggest you send an email to frequent_flyer (at) Qantas.com explaining your situation with a copy of you E-ticket confirmation email attached.

Explain the situation and you should be OK.

And the answer is

email [email protected] and explain nicely what has happened and send a copy of the electronic itinerary and in about 2 hours someone rings and says that they have fixed the problem for you

Now i have to find another 600SC to get to PG (having explained to my travel agent exactly waht a status credit is!)

To cover this possible situation I always print a spare set of boarding passes and file them away whenever I do online check in, which is most of the time.

I was a little paranoid last week when I flew JQ35 in *Class MEL-SYD and my boarding pass was taken off me when I went through the International terminal. I must remember to photocopy it in the QP next time!
SCs were credited two days later. Phew!
Only 20 SCs to WP. Lauceston next weekend will take care of that!

It amazes me that TA's wouldn't famliarise themselves with the QF FFP, especially when as a country their FFP has such great market share.

I personally know more than most of my clients do about SC's etc and often assist those looking to maintain status in planning their travel around doing so.

...
If you forget to take that photocopy  there nothing like a quick snap with your 'phone's camera to assuage such fears.
