I'm considering canceling 2 Jetstar flights at the end of the month - One is an international starclass flight, the other is a jetflex domestic.

I see on their website that incurs a $30 refund fee, but can anyone share their experience of how the refund happens (back to credit card ....send a cheque..?) and how long it typically takes to receive the refunded amount?

cheers

Hi,

My refund took 6 weeks (from memory) and went straight to the credit card.

sometimes they "fast track" the refund if you plead your case. It took 10 days for me after I said it was a joke that it would take 6-10 weeks:) (but they stuffed up, not me)

Well if both of your refundable tickets are not upgrades from a JetSaver fare to a JetFlex/StarClass fare you'll get a refund minus a $30 per person, per booking..

The refund will go directly back on to your credit card. And it typically takes about 1-2 weeks for the refund. But they do say it "can" take upto 6-8 weeks. But this is the maximum amount of time, not the minimum.

Appreciate the replies!

2 weeks to 10 weeks seems a helluva long time for a credit card refund.. viva la jetstar!

I'm still weighing up if it's going to be worth the potential hassle to mess with my original bookings....

Thanks for the insights
